Group Hikes
Join Kellie for a Blue Sky HIke PDF Print E-mail

Due to the high demand of women who are looking for hiking buddies and trails,  Kellie Lee, Kellie Lee on the trailowner of Blue Sky Inspirations, was inspired to form Blue Sky Hikes. Here's the scoop:

Starting out we will be organizing hikes once a month, if the response is good we will add more. For a small charge we will be offering different levels of hiking, from beginner to advanced.  We will rotate hikes each month, some will have special themes and others will just be a simple hike. -- Kellie -- Click here for more on Blue Sky Hikes.

Sierra Club hikes PDF Print E-mail

One of the best sources, nationwide, for group hikes is the Sierra Club, and the Great Basin Group in northern Nevada, is particularly active. This is the Reno/Sparks and surrounding area club.

Their 2009 season hikes have already begun, and they are scheduled for weeknights as well as weekends. I've dropped in on a few hikes with this group, and I certainly endorse them. I've hiked hills around the Reno/Sparks area that I never would have considered. New trails for me - and I always love that!

Point Reyes

Hiking doesn't have to be a solo affair; in fact, for Ladies Hiking Editor Judith, it usually isn't. She's hiked with Sierra Club hikers, with casual groups of women friends, and on club outings. Meet a few of her hiking "peeps".
